Der bevorstehende 18. Parteitag der Kommunistischen Partei Chinas (KP Chinas) hat sowohl in China wie auch im Ausland die Aufmerksamkeit auf sich gezogen, da die Ergebnisse der Versammlung die ganze Welt beeinflussen werden.

Es wird erwartet, dass beim Kongress strategische Vorkehrungen für die weitere Entwicklung der chinesischen Reformen, für die sozialistische Modernisierung und die gesamtheitliche Weiterentwicklung der Partei getroffen werden. So wird beim Kongress ein neues Zentralkomitee sowie eine neue Zentrale Kommission für die Disziplinarinspektion gewählt.

In Zeiten der wirtschaftlichen Globalisierung und der politischen Multipolarisation, bei der Länder auf der ganzen Welt miteinander verbunden sind, können Veränderungen in einem Land leicht andere Länder beeinflussen, insbesondere dann, wenn es sich dabei um eine Großmacht wie China handelt. Da China nun die zweitgrößte Volkswirtschaft der Welt ist und als ein wichtiger Motor für die Weltwirtschaft fungiert, ist es nicht weiter erstaunlich, dass ein Kongress, der die Zukunft des bevölkerungsreichsten Lands der Welt bestimmen kann, den Rest der Welt interessiert.

In den vergangenen Jahrzehnten hat das Land bedeutende Fortschritte erzielt. Doch noch immer ist China mit zahlreichen Herausforderungen konfrontiert, denen das Land nur mit weiteren Reformen begegnen kann. Der bevorstehende Kongress steht unter solchen Umständen. Trotz einiger Schwierigkeiten seit der globalen Wirtschaftskrise von 2008 konnte die chinesische Volkswirtschaft dank eines massiven Konjunkturpakets weiter wachsen. Jüngste Zahlen zeigen, dass sich die chinesische Wirtschaft stabilisiert hat, während die Welt weiterhin unter der Schuldenkrise in der Eurozone leidet.

The upcoming 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has drawn wide attention both in China and overseas, as the outcomes of the congress will influence matters around the globe.

The upcoming congress is expected to make strategic arrangements for the overall advancement of China's reform and opening up, the country's socialist modernization drive and the overall advancement of the new grand project of the Party building. A new CPC Central Committee and a new Central Commission for Discipline Inspection will be elected at the national congress.

In a time of economic globalization and political multi-polarization, countries around the world have linked up, and changes in one country can quickly influence others, especially for a major power like China. As China has become the world's second-largest economy, a major engine for global economic development and a powerhouse among newly emerging markets, a congress that can decide the future of the world's most populous country should, of course, matter to the rest of the world.

Over past decades, the country has made significant achievements, but it continues to face a series of challenges that can only be addressed through further reforms. The upcoming congress will be convened under such circumstances.
